    Come join our LRCC Americorps members for a half day of trail work on the Col Trail. Maintaining a clear path helps concentrate foot traffic onto the trail, reducing erosion and stress on the surrounding environment.

    Volunteer: Chamberlain Reynolds Trail Clean-up

    March 11, 2025 @ 9:00 am–1:00 pm

    Come join our LRCC Americorps members for a half day of trail work on the Chamberlain Reynolds Memorial Forest. We will work to clear the trail corridor of overhanging vegetation and any blow downs that have come down so far this winter. Maintaining a clear path helps concentrate foot traffic onto the trail, reducing erosion and stress on the surrounding environment.

    Science Pub – Moose: Seasonal Habitat Shifts & Threats

    Moose don’t usually come to mind when you think about animal migration, but join NH Fish and Game Moose Biologist, Henry Jones to about the major habitats moose use throughout the year as well as some of the finer details that change each season. All in the context of their overall ecology. This information will help attendees understand moose status in New Hampshire and help the species.

    Squam Salamander Brigade Volunteer Training

    March 13, 2025 @ 6:30 pm–9:00 pm

    Come spring, amphibians will begin migrating from their woodland wintering sites to their breeding grounds which are located in lowland wetlands and vernal pools. One of the dangers for them during this time is crossing roads that cut through these habitats. Join us to watch a webinar about how you can volunteer to help transport these critters safely across the road and record their migration numbers.
