Thank you for a FANTASTIC
Squam Ridge Race 2024!
---
Choose from one of the two race options, the 12.2 mile course that spans the Squam Range or the 4 mile course that climbs Mount Livermore!
The Squam Ridge Race is a 12.2 mile race and hike that traverses a majority of the Squam Range crossing three summits with amazing views of Squam Lake and the surrounding watershed with about 3000 feet of elevation gain. The race/hike is mostly single track with 1.8 miles of pavement, 0.5 miles of dirt road, 1.3 miles of double track, and 8.6 miles of single track trail. The path up to the top of Mount Percival is a challenge to runners with its many stone steps and rugged terrain, averaging a 15% grade for 1.8 miles. There is a racer and a hiker division, anyone is welcome to run or hike the route as a participant of the event. There are three aid stations spaced 2-4 miles apart so racers need to plan accordingly. There is no official cutoff time, but we encourage hikers who can complete the hike in 8 hours or less. The 4 mile race and hike climbs to the top of Mount Livermore and back to the start / finish area. There is one aid station at the junction with the Crawford Ridgepole Trail. There is a racer and a hiker division so everyone is welcome to hike the route with friends and family or race as a participant of the event.
Food and beverages, donated by local restaurants and businesses, are available at the start/finish area. The Squam Ridge Race is a fundraiser, so all proceeds from this event go back into the trails in our 55+ mile network, including the trails the race takes place on. Top finishers in their division receive medals and the top overall finishers receive prizes.
The Main Hub Of The Race Is Located On Burleigh Farm Road In Holderness, NH. There Is Parking In Directed Fields Off Of Burliegh Farm Road.
