Full Moon Hike: Fogg Hill Conservation Area

April 10 @ 7:30 pm9:30 pm

This will be a 2.0-mile out-and-back hike up Fog Hill Trail in Moultonborough, NH. At the top, we will get a good view of the moon and have time to note which Indigenous moon it is. Hopefully, we will start to see the characteristics of spring. Join us for an easy adventure up Fogg Hill and back down. This will be a great way to get out and connect with the environment.

Location

Fogg Hill Conservation Area Parking Lot
Fogg Hill Conservation Area is a 235-acre conservation area forming a significant part of a 900+ acre unfragmented woodland and wetland habitat in the Waukewan and Winona Watershed, the largest roadless area in Center Harbor. LRCT acquired the conservation area in 2013 while the Town of Center Harbor holds conservation easement.

What to bring

Participants should be sure to have appropriate attire and layering for variable spring hiking. Extra layers, comfortable water resistant hiking shoes, and snowshoes and/or microspikes may be needed depending on conditions. A headlamp preferably with the red light setting, is also reccomended as we will be hiking in the dark. The SLA can provide snowshoes & microspikes for up to six participants. Other snow hiking gear may be available upon request. Snacks are welcome as we will be taking breaks on the trail.

Not sure what to pack? Check out our Winter Day Hiking Checklist for some ideas. Feel free to reach out to the SLA with any questions!
