Earth Day Meteor Shower Viewing & Campfire

The best way to spend Earth Day is outside! Join us for a fun evening viewing of the Lyrid's meteor shower around a warm campfire with s'mores. Chat with neighbors about Earth Day and what it means to you while observing one of the great astronomy events of spring.

Why Knot?

Join the Squam Lakes Association for a hands-on program where we’ll practice the age-old tradition of knots! We’ll start with the basics, learning both how to tie a knot and its many functions. After practicing, we’ll put our new skills to the test by building a shelter.

Squam Prints: Bleach Painting With Nature

Join the Squam Lakes Association for a hands-on bleach printing program. Using leaves and other interesting materials found in the natural environment, we’ll transform old clothes/fabric into unique creations. Whether you consider yourself an artist or not, this simple process is accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

VOLUNTEER: Spring Workday

Join SLA staff and Lakes Region Conservation Corps for a day of spring cleaning! Help clear trails, rake campsites, and install swim lines to prepare for summer.

National Trails Day

This annual celebration, organized by the American Hiking Society, encourages people to get outdoors, participate in trail maintenance, and advocate for the protection of trails and public lands.
