Why Knot?
April 25 @ 10:00 am–12:00 pm

Today's Adventure Ecology
What do a secure tent, a sturdy boat line, and a lifesaving rescue all have in common? Knots! Join the Squam Lakes Association for a hands-on program where we’ll practice the age-old tradition of knots! We’ll start with the basics, learning both how to tie a knot and its many functions, and after practicing, we’ll put our new skills to the test. Working as a team, we’ll design and build a functional tarp shelter, using our knots to create a structure that’s both strong and adaptable. You’ll leave with practical knowledge, hands-on experience, and a set of knots you can use in your own outdoor adventures.
This program is for ages 12 and up. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
