    Volunteer: Trail Workday

    August 16 @ 9:00 am–4:00 pm

    Take a hike! Join Squam Lakes Association LRCC members for a day of trail work and hiking. Participants will meet at the trailhead at 9am, be given a brief introductory, and head up the Mt. Percival trail to begin.

    Fun Fungi! Identification & Appreciation Walk

    August 22 @ 9:00 am–11:30 am

    Challenge your eyes and legs as we search for hidden forest gems around Squam Lakes Five Finger Point Trail. Learn some anatomy, identification, and foraging techniques with LRCC member Kevin Jones as we do a short 3 mile hike for mushrooms! This program is for all ages. No experience required.

    Join the Squam Lakes Association for a beginner top-rope belay clinic! We’ll cover the basics of rock climbing, including how to properly put on a harness, climbing commands, and how to safely belay a climber.

    This 12.2-mile race and hike takes you along the stunning Squam Range, offering incredible views of Squam Lake and the surrounding watershed. Whether you're racing or hiking, it's an unforgettable way to support a great cause and experience the beauty of the region.

    Fall Foliage Fun! Red Hill Hike

    October 3 @ 10:00 am–2:00 pm

    Want to enjoy some beautiful fall foliage while learning about why and how our trees perform this magical annual ritual? Join us Saturday, October 3rd, from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at the Red Hill Fire Tower Trailhead for a gorgeous hike and learn all about our deciduous trees. Prepare for a 5.1 mile hike appreciating and investigating the forest before a short lecture at the summit. Bring a lunch, as we will be taking a break at the top. Take the opportunity to view 360° peak foliage from the fire tower before heading back down.
