Join us for a boat ride to help collect water column samples at Loon Reef and Moultonborough Bay as part of our summer water-quality monitoring program. We will learn about how the SLA monitors Squam by completing a set of measurements together and then enjoy a lunch on Moon or Bowman Island.
Join us for a ~2 mile hike up Wentworth Trail to the summit of Mt Israel (~4 miles out and back) to help us maintain the path. We'll clear water bars as we ascend and enjoy a lunch at the top to celebrate. Finally, we'll return to Mead Base to finish up. Bring your friends to help give back to the hiking community!

Mt. Morgan Trail, with its renowned peak and ladders, is a favorite among the Crawford-Ridgepole Trail connector routes. But this path is in need of some love and attention from volunteers like you. Join us to help maintain the hiking corridor and prevent erosion on the trail by clearing water bars so we can all continue trekking this one-of-a-kind trail.
Join us to help clean up Brooks Fisher Trail and a section the Crawford-Ridgepole Trail. We will clear blowdowns and cut back overgrown vegetation to keep the path navigable for hikers as well as prepare the CRT section for the Squam Ridge Race.
Join us to remove invasive plant species like knotweed and bittersweet from the Cotton Mountain Trailhead with help from our visiting AmeriCorps NCCC members.
Mt. Percival Trail is one of the most iconic hikes in the Squam Range, and we’re calling volunteers to help us maintain it. Join us as we clear waterbars and clean up the trail corridor with a team of AmeriCorp NCCC members that are currently serving at the SLA.
Fall Work Day is a day where SLA staff and community come together to wrap up the SLA campus and campsites for the season.
Learn about winter water quality at the Squam Lakes Association with Lakes Region Conservation Corps members and become a part of our vital network of trained volunteers. This program will include training on ice safety, water quality sampling, and will be a hands-on introduction to winter water quality on the ice.
