Join us for a boat ride to help collect water column samples at Loon Reef and Moultonborough Bay as part of our summer water-quality monitoring program. We will learn about how the SLA monitors Squam by completing a set of measurements together and then enjoy a lunch on Moon or Bowman Island.
Join the Squam Lakes Association for a morning of hiking and learning about the Japanese poetry form known as haiku. This is a great program for anyone looking to appreciate nature using a fun and simple poetry form. If you enjoy creative expression and hiking, we hope to have you join us for this program!
Join us for a ~2 mile hike up Wentworth Trail to the summit of Mt Israel (~4 miles out and back) to help us maintain the path. We'll clear water bars as we ascend and enjoy a lunch at the top to celebrate. Finally, we'll return to Mead Base to finish up. Bring your friends to help give back to the hiking community!
Mark your calendars for an unforgettable summer evening at the SLA on Friday, August 15, from 6:00–9:00 PM!
