Macroinvertebrates are a diverse set of organisms that play an important role in our aquatic ecosystems, also serving as great bioindicators for pollution. Learn more about this fascinating field of study with an informative and interactive program about macroinvertebrate sampling. Be ready to get your feet wet as YOU will be trying to catch and identify these little critters following a kick netting demonstration.
Interested in combining storytelling, artistic freedom, and knowledge in a topic? Try making a Zine with us on Saturday, July 18th, from 11:00 - 1:30 PM. This free program will provide an in depth tutorial on how a zine is made followed by a workshop where participants will design their own zines. Art supplies and guidance will be provided in a low stakes environment.
