Science Pub: Be Lake Smart

April 14 @ 6:00 pm7:00 pm

Be Lake Smart
Tips for becoming LakeSmart. You can be a hero for your lake! What happens on your property affects the lake, whether you live along it or miles from it. LakeSmart properties create clean, clear, and healthy water, recreational opportunities, higher property values, and better habitat for wildlife. Join Pollyanna in discussing easy ways in which we can make our properties Lake friendly.

Pollyanna Fisher is Squam Lakes Association Campaign and Conservation Strategist. She leads the LakeSmart program on Squam and is spearheading the top projects on our Watershed Management Plan to reduce stormwater runoff into our lake. Pollyanna grew up coming to Squam from early on and decided to call Squam her year round home in 2023. She is passionate about conservation and water quality on Squam.

Science Pub is a winter series presented in partnership with Squam Lakes Conservation Society, Squam Lakes Association, and Squam Lakes Natural Science Center and Walter’s Basin in Holderness. The talk begins at 6:00 PM, but we encourage you to arrive between 5:00-5:30 PM to enjoy dinner and drinks before the presentation. Seating is limited and registration is required.
