The Byers Holtzman Barn is hosting a screening on Wednesday, August 27 at 8:00pm of the Toxic Puzzle, an award-winning documentary that explores the health risks of cyanobacteria in our lakes. These harmful algal blooms threaten our health, pets, and property values.

Recent blooms have been severe and widespread, including a 121-day event on Lake Kanasatka in 2023 and a warning at Mascoma Lake this June. As InDepthNH reported, toxic blooms can harm pets, sicken people, and lower lakefront property values.

Following the film, we will host an open discussion on what can be done to prevent blooms and protect our community. Space is limited so register now!
