Capturing the Beauty of Pipers Cove En Plein Air

May 23 @ 3:00 pm6:00 pm

Today's Adventure Ecology:

Come capture the beauty of Squam Lake through outdoor painting with the Squam Lakes Association! Participants will learn about the impressionist outdoor painting technique En Plein Air, as well as some basic drawing and painting techniques. They can then create something of their own outside in Piper Cove.

Limited supplies, including acrylic and watercolor paints, paper and canvas, and tabletop easels, will be provided. However, participants are encouraged to bring their own materials and to come prepared to spend time outside in the sun (bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen). All ages and experience levels are welcome; however, parents should note this program is not aimed at young children. Participants should arrive at 3 pm but are welcome to stay and paint as long as they want.

Children must be accompanied by adults.
