Halloween Haunted Hike

This week's program

Join the LRCC members for a spook-tacular guided hike through Chamberlain-Reynolds Memorial Forest on October 29th from 5:00-7:30 PM. This will be a fun-filled evening hike where participants can choose the path we take through the woods guided by a haunting story at each fork in the trail. Come hear the mysterious legend of the Squamster and find out how its story ends. We encourage you to come dressed for the occasion wearing your best costume!

All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

What to bring

Participants are encouraged to wear shoes suitable for hiking, a headlamp or flashlights, either wearing or bringing extra layers depending on the weather, and bringing enough food and water for the duration of the program. Wearing a costume is not required, but it is encouraged for ALL ages.

Meet this week's guides

Meg Jacobs is serving with the Lakes Region Conservation Corps. She is from Salisbury, Massachusetts and went to school at the University of New Hampshire where she studied Wildlife Conservation and Biology. She loves finding the perfect spot to sit and observe nature and can't wait for all the adventures she will find around the Squam Lakes!
Peter Laskin is a Lakes Region Conservation Corps member serving with the SLA. He recently graduated from Harvard University in his hometown of Cambridge, MA with a degree in Integrative Biology. A longtime visitor, camper, and seasonal worker in the Lakes Region, he’s excited to get out and explore the trails with you!

The Adventure Ecology programs are presented by the Lakes Region Conservation Corps members who perform important conservation work in support of the Association's mission.
