A BAT-ty Celebration

October 22, 2024 @ 7:00 pm9:00 pm

This week's program

Join Lakes Region Conservation Corps member Meg at the Squam Lakes Association for a bat-filled evening as we celebrate Bat Week. This program will have education opportunities and activities for all ages; participants are welcome to drop in at any time during the evening and stay for as long as they would like. Come learn about the bat's role in our watershed and how you can protect them during the spooky season and year round. If you are new to the bat-loving world or are a returning advocate you are welcome to come and learn or share your knowledge on the world's only flying mammals.

All ages are welcome! Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Registration is encouraged for this drop-in event.

What to bring

Participants are encouraged to bring extra layers to stay cozy after sunset. Chairs for watching bats and coloring or art mediums can be a great addition as well. We will have bat house templates and examples, but participants may bring their own bat houses to share as an example or get input on.
