Adopt a Tree!
We planted 22 fruit and nut trees to fully designate our campus as a Level 1 ArbNet-certified arboretum as a part of our larger project to create community spaces and education opportunities. Thank you for all the help!
Now we are looking for help naming the trees! If you would like to name a tree, or write a small message on the sign, join in on our challenge! There are two ways to earn tickets: trekking and reading for the trees. Figure out more for each below.

Challenge Rules
Winners will be selected from each category
Trekking
2 miles = 1 ticket
If you are going to trek for trees to submit your entry for raffle tickets join our Strava group, Squam Lakes Association Trek for Trees at the link below.
If you cannot download Strava, you must email us at [email protected] with proof of the miles you trekked.

Reading
100 pages = 1 ticket
If you want to read for the trees check with your local library to fill out your ticket.
Children of all ages can join in our Adopt a Tree program. Check with your local school to see if they are participating too!

The raffle will close on October 31, 2025 and the winners will be drawn on November 2, 2025 at our main building.

ReTreeUs
To obtain our certification, we will be partnering with a local agency, ReTreeUS.
Their mission is to inspire generations of food growers, environmental stewards, and problem solvers through experiential education in orchards and gardens.
They have kindly offered us their expertise in all things arboretum.

To the left is an example of what the tree sign will look like. There will be 6 lines of text. 4 of them will be taken up with tree Identification and the last two are all yours!
