Wednesday, July 18: Lake Ecology Jeff Schloss, UNH Cooperative Extension
Since 1986, Jeff has been the coordinator of the New Hampshire Lakes Lay Monitoring Program (NH LLMP), a grass roots lake and tributary monitoring program initiated in 1979. He has worked directly with residents from lakes across New Hampshire, including Squam in dealing with water quality concerns and issues.
Wednesday, August 15: Loons Tiffany Grade, Loon Preservation Committee
Tiffany is the Squam Lake Project Biologist with the Loon Preservation Committee which has undertaken state-wide monitoring, research, management and outreach to preserve loons and their habitats. Squam Lake plays a leading role in advancing the understanding of loons and their challenges in New Hampshire.
Thursday, September 13: Forest Management New England Forestry Foundation
The mission of New England Forestry Foundation is to conserve New England’s working forests through conservation and ecologically sound management of privately owned forestlands in New England, throughout the Americas and beyond. The focus of this talk will be on the forest management of the Chamberlain Reynolds Memorial Forest located in Center Harbor.
