Location: The Squam Lakes Association headquarters, located at 534 US Route 3, Holderness, NH, 03245.
About the day: Volunteer with Lakes Region Conservation Corps members to maintain the SLA’s ice rink and mini-golf course any day between February 12th-25th! Every year, the SLA hosts a winter celebration on Piper Cove, where visitors can enjoy mini-golf, sledding, an ice rink, and more. Volunteers will help keep the campus in top shape by clearing snow from the ice rink and ensuring that the mini-golf course stays intact.
Priorities for the day are dependent on the type of precipitation we get. If it snows, we’ll focus on clearing the ice rink. If it rains, we’ll focus on rebuilding the mini-golf course structures. If there is no precipitation on the day you choose to volunteer, you don’t have to worry about coming in!
What to Bring: Volunteers should bring warm and waterproof clothing, water, and snacks. Masks are optional outdoors. Click here for information on the best clothing for outdoor winter activities. Micro spikes and snow shovels are provided.
