Katri Gurney, Director of Trails & Access

Katri has been with the SLA since 2016. She began as a Squam Conservation Intern, moved up to manage the internship and the AmeriCorps program, and since 2018 has managed SLA’s trails and outdoor access facilities. She grew up in Arlington, VA and has a BA in Government from Colby College located in Waterville, ME. After graduating she worked in Washington DC interning with Habitat for Humanity International, the Atlas Project, and working at a neighborhood tea shop. She currently lives in Thornton and volunteers on the Thornton Conservation Commission and plays trombone in the Lakes Region Symphony Orchestra. In her free time, you’ll likely find Katri running regional trails, xc skiing, practicing trombone, gardening, sugaring, and spending time with friends and family.
