DESCRIPTION:Today's Adventure Ecology:\n\nThis program has been changed to Chamberlain Reynolds Memorial Forest. On August 16\, from 9-12 we will be leading a 2.0 mile hike around Chamberlain Reynolds memorial forest to teach about fern identification! Come learn about how these plant evolved and adapted from an oceanic planet to today’s dry rocky terrain. Squam Lakes Educator Emma Murray will lead this hike and will have much to share about the plants located on trail. We will have identification books and resources that will give you the skills you need to successfully identify different fern species. Bring adequate hiking gear including bug spray\, sunscreen\, boots\, long pants and a sketchbook if you would like to document your finds.All ages are welcome. My name is Emma Murray and I’m a recent graduate of SUNY ESF College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse\, New York. I just graduated with a degree in Environmental Biology and applied my love of silviculture to get a minor in Forestry.
