About the Hike: There are four hikes scheduled throughout the month of May in this Squam Ranger series. This is a great opportunity to learn about the Squam Ranger program, meet other folks interested in hiking, and enjoy a day out on the trail. Did you know that we now have a Squam Ranger Family program? Squam Rangers Family—an update to Squam Rangers that includes new SLA trails and omits our most challenging hikes. This program is perfect for families, beginners, those who hike with their dogs, and anyone who wants to explore our diverse trail system. We will meet at the Brooks Fisher parking lot and after a brief introduction to Squam Rangers we'll begin our hike. This hike is the perfect way to burn off some energy after a long day at work or school and then have an excuse to grab some pizza or take out on the way home! Enjoy a short hike (2.6 miles roundtrip) that climbs gradually to the ridge, a great place for a snack. Hike as much or as little as you'd like. Timing is hard to predict since it depends on the hikers so we may end a bit earlier or go later. Folks are welcome to hike at there own pace as this is not intended to be a guided hike.

Since hikes are weather dependent, we will contact those who have signed up the day before the trip to confirm the plan.

What to Bring: Hikers should bring appropriate clothing, headlamp, water, and snacks. Sunset is around 8:15pm so we shouldn't need our headlamps but it's always good to bring one just in case.

Want to Join? If you have any questions about these hikes give us a call at 603-968-7336. Space is limited to 6 participants and registration is required.  Click here to register.
