SUMMARY:14th Annual Squam Ridge Race
DESCRIPTION:Today's Adventure Ecology:\n\nJoin LRCC member Danielle on Saturday\, October 18th from 5:30-6:30 PM at Chamberlain Reynolds Memorial Forest for a bat filled evening as we celebrate Bat Week. Come learn about bats in our watershed and how you can protect them during the spooky season and year round. If you are new to the bat loving world or are a returning advocate you are welcome to come and learn or share your knowledge on the worlds only flying mammal. We will meet at Chamberlain Reynolds Memorial Forest at the West Fire Road Parking lot. 5:30 PM is about thirty minutes before sunset\, the perfect time to spot some bats as they leave their roosts. We will walk down to the beach and enjoy the sunset as we talk all about bats\, bat houses\, and bat conservation in NH. Participants will be provided headlamps for the a short walk back to the parking lot. All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by adults. Registration is required for this free event.\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n Register now\n\n \n \n \n\n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n	\n\n\n\n\nPhoto Credit: Joe Bartok\n\n\n\n \n \n	\n\n\n\n\n \n \n	\n\n\n\n\nWhat to bring\n\n\n\nPlease bring weather appropraite footwear and clothing. I graduated from Keene State College in 2024 where I studied Environmental Studies and Spanish. I developed a deep love for nature by growing up spending my time in the woods and lakes of NH; hiking\, day dreaming\, and looking for wildlife. Travel\, experiential learning\, and service based learning have greatly influenced my education and interests. I am excited to be back in my beautiful home state to learn more about lake conservation while helping to teach the public about all things ecology.\n\n\n \n \n	\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n	\n\n\n\n\nLocation\n\nChamberlain-Reynolds Memorial Forest\, West Fire Road parking lot\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n West Fire Road parking lot\, College Rd.
