DESCRIPTION:Come join LRCC members Macie\, Diego\, and Kevin on a 1.8 mile hike up to the South Peak of Whitten Woods under the light of the full moon. The April full moon is called the Pink Moon\, named after the moss pink flower that blooms this time of year. Participants will enjoy a short evening hike and gaze upon the moon illuminating Squam Lake. We will meet at the Whitten Woods Trailhead Parking Lot and hit the trail at 7:00 PM.All ages are welcome. Conditions dependent; snowshoes or spikes may be needed.  A headlamp\, preferably with the red light setting\, is also recommended as we will be hiking in the dark. The SLA has a limited number of snowshoes\, spikes\, and headlamps available\, which can be provided for participants who do not have their own. Conditions dependent; snowshoes or spikes may be needed.  A headlamp\, preferably with the red light setting\, is also recommended as we will be hiking in the dark. The SLA has a limited number of snowshoes\, spikes\, and headlamps available\, which can be provided for participants who do not have their own. Conditions dependent; snowshoes or spikes may be needed.  A headlamp\, preferably with the red light setting\, is also recommended as we will be hiking in the dark. The SLA has a limited number of snowshoes\, spikes\, and headlamps available\, which can be provided for participants who do not have their own. DESCRIPTION:Come join LRCC members Macie\, Diego\, and Kevin on a 1.8 mile hike up to the South Peak of Whitten Woods under the light of the full moon. The April full moon is called the Pink Moon\, named after the moss pink flower that blooms this time of year. Participants will enjoy a short evening hike and gaze upon the moon illuminating Squam Lake. We will meet at the Whitten Woods Trailhead Parking Lot and hit the trail at 7:00 PM.All ages are welcome.
