SUMMARY:Volunteer: Chamberlain Reynolds Trail Work Half Day
DESCRIPTION:For centuries—if not millennia—whales have been hunted\, yet their migration patterns remained largely a mystery until recent decades. Today\, our understanding is being further disrupted by a rapidly changing climate\, which alters what we thought we knew about their movements.Despite incredible advances in modern technology\, these sentient beings still manage to keep us guessing and protecting whales has become a greater challenge than ever before. Join me as we explore a century of whale tracking along North America’s east coast and uncover the profound implications of recent environmental changes on their migration patterns.Dianna Schulte is the co-founder and Director of Research at Blue Ocean Society for Marine Conservation located in Portsmouth\, NH. She has been studying local whale populations since the mid-1990’s and has documented numerous changes in whale activity over the past 30 years.Presentation starts at 6:00pm. Doors open at 5:30. Please save room to enjoy dinner beforehand!Other 2025 Science Pub Dates:Tuesday\, April 8th 6:00 pm\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n Click here to join a waitlist!\n\n \n \n \n\n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n	\n\n\n\n\n\n	\n \n	\n\n\n\n\n \n \n	\n\n\n\n\n \n \n	\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n	\n\n\n\n\nLocation\n\nWalter's Basin Restaurant\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n 859 US - 3 Holderness\, NH 03245\n \n \n\n \n \n\n \n\n\nWalter’s Basin Restaurant is on the shores of Little Squam Lake right in the heart of Holderness\, NH.
