This 169-acre forest is owned by the New England Forestry Foundation and has approximately 5 miles of trails managed by the Squam Lakes Association.\n\n\n\n  \n  \n	\n\n\n\n\n  \n  \n	\n\n\n\n\nWhat to bring\n\nParticipants are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing they don't mind getting dirty\, bringing extra layers depending on the weather and wearing appropriate footwear. Participants are also encouraged to bring food and water for the duration of the program. There will be a break for lunch.\n\n\n  \n  \n	\n\n\n\n\nMeet this week's guide\n\nMeg Jacobs is serving with the Lakes Region Conservation Corps. She is from Salisbury\, Massachusetts and went to school at the University of New Hampshire where she studied Wildlife Conservation and Biology. She loves finding the perfect spot to sit and observe nature and can't wait for all the adventures she will find around the Squam Lakes!\n\n\n\n  \n  \n	\n\n\n\n\n  \n  \n	\n\n\n\n\nSLA's Adventure Ecology trips\n\nThroughout the year\, the Squam Lakes Association offers free programs open to the public on a variety of nature and conservation related topics.The Adventure Ecology programs are presented by the Lakes Region Conservation Corps members who perform important conservation work in support of the Association's mission.\n\n\n  \n  \n	\n\n\n\n\nLakes Region Conservation Corps\n\nThe Lakes Region Conservation Corps (LRCC) is an AmeriCorps service program that develops skills and experiences for conservation professionals.
