DESCRIPTION:Today's Adventure Ecology:\n\nWe will be exploring Homestead forest trail on a 2.7 mile loop trail that takes you through a variety of terrain\, swamp\, caves\, deciduous forest and conifer forests. Squam Lakes conservation corps member Emma Murray will be leading this hike through this beautiful property maintained by the Lakes Region Conservation Trust. By the end of the hike you will be able to identify the trees and other plants that are giving you shade on your hikes. We will learn techniques you can use anywhere in the world to identify trees and be able to identify some native New Hampshire species. We will also see some smaller flowering plants like shrubs\, ferns\, flowers and moss. Join us for a fun adventure in botany. All ages are welcome.
