Wilderness First Aid (WFA)
WHO IS THE WFA FOR?
The WFA is the perfect course for the outdoor enthusiast or trip leader who wants a basic level of first aid training for short trips with family, friends, and outdoor groups. It also meets the ACA guidelines.
WHAT IS TAUGHT?
The WFA is 16 hours long (two days), and focuses on the basic skills of: Response and Assessment, Musculoskeletal Injuries, Environmental Emergencies, Survival Skills, Soft Tissue Injuries, and Medical Emergencies
WHERE AND WHEN IS IT HELD?
The WFA course will be held at the Squam Lakes Association 534 US route 3, Holderness, NH on May 23-24th 2020 from 8am-5pm both days.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
$190 for the course and an additional $50 if you would like to also get the AHA Heart Saver CPR certification.
WHAT ABOUT ROOM AND BOARD?
The SLA has camping available; check the website for availability.
